1º day: EUROPE-BUENOS AIRES. Flight with final destination Buenos Aires city. Night on board
2º day: BUENOS AIRES. Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport, reception and transfer to Buenos Aires city. Overnight at selected hotel (brakfast and local vat included). In the afternoon city tour visiting “Plaza de Mayo” – May Square – Government House and the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Congress, the neighborhood of San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo lakes and La Recoleta..smart and busy.
3º day: BUENOS AIRES. Day at leisure for optional activities (San Telmo Flea Market, only sundays. Visit to Ranch, full day Montevideo, Tigre.. Mail to us
4º day: BS AS-TRELEW-PUERTO MADRYN
Transfer to local airport to board flight to Trelew. Arrival, and depart towards Punta Tombo, the amazing Magellanic penguin rookery (Spheniscus Magellanicus). After a 90-minute trip on the Patagonian routes, we arrive at the reserve. We spend no less than 2:30 hours at Punta Tombo visiting not just the penguin rookery, but also the fascinating Visitors Centre. Lunch is not included in the tour, and we can use the available premises. There is a Café-Restaurant, toilets and trails for the interpretation of the Patagonia winds. (An eventual stop at Trelew’s airport is contemplated in this excursion, provided we have passengers arriving to do the tour or leaving after the tour to Punta Tombo)
5ºdía: PUERTO MADRYN. Depart early in the morning towards the Provincial Wildlife Reserve Península Valdes, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After a one-hour drive arrive in Puerto Piramides, where take a boat tour (optional) to do “whale watching” of Southern Right Whales (Eubalaena australis) between June and December, and of Southern Sea lions (Otaria flavescens) and cormorants between January and March. (no navigation in Puerto Piramides during April and May)
Around noon we leave for Punta Delgada to have lunch (not included) at the Lighthouse complex (*ask about minimum charge*), where we have the chance of walking down to the beach to take a closer look of the elephant seals. Then we depart for Punta Cantor to observe the peninsula’s Atlantic coastline, and we reach the initial stretch of the Valdes Inlet (Caleta Valdes). After the observation and interpretation of the coastal geology, we drive back to the Ameghino Isthmus for a tour of the Visitor Centre. Along the way we have good chance of viewing animals such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, cavies, armadillos and skunks, among others..
Return to Puerto Madryn. Accommodation with breakfast and local vat.
6º day: PUERTO MADRYN-TRELEW-USHUAIA. Transfer to local airport to board flight to Ushuaia. Arrival and transfer to selected hotel. Accommodation with breakfast and local vat.
7º day: USHUAIA. Leaving Ushuaia city Southwest, we will travel through national route number 3, towards Tierra del Fuego’s National Park. Along the eleven kilometers that separate the entrance of the Park and the city of Ushuaia, we will make a stop near the Centro Hípico (Riding Club), where we will enjoy som excellent panoramic views of the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia`s Peninsula and Bridges`, Willie’s and Les Eclauriers’ Islands.
After crossing River Pipo’s bridge, next to Ushuaia’s Golf Club, we will arrive at the End of the World Station. Those passengers that would like to board the End of the World train will be able to take that optional tour. The rest of the group will await them at the end of the train trip. We continue our drive for 2 more kilometers and enter the National Park, an area reserved to protect the Subantartic Forest and its native flora and fauna. From this spot we will be able to take a glimpse of both Redonda and Estorbo Islands.
The last part of the excursion leads us to Lapataia Bay. Along the way we will cross Cormorants Islands, get to see other peats and also visit a beaver dam. Once in Lapataia Bay, besides the marine coast, rich in mollusks and mussels, we will find traces of the ancient native settlers that used to live in the region. We will have some time to walk through the footbridge, from which we will be able to take photographs and enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world. From this spot, the end of National Route number 3, we will begin our journey back to the city of Ushuaia.
In the afternoon, navigation towards the Beagle Channel, enjoying as we move away from the coast, a panoramic view of Ushuaia`s coast, sightseeing the most important buildings and mounts. We sail Southwest, approaching the Sea lions` Island, where, from the ship, we will be able to enjoy the sight of sea lions specimens, watching them interact with their permanent environment in a wonderful scenery. We continue the navigation towards the Bird Island, habitat of the Magaellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and also a privileged area to spot specimens of the marine fauna. Then we sail towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago with the same name, where the Mount Cervantes vessel wrecked on the year 1930. The return will be through Paso Chico, sighting Estancias Tunnel and Fique (Farmhouses), heading back to Ushuaia while enjoying the view of the imposing frame that Mount Martial its glacier give to the city.
8º day: USHUAIA-CALAFATE. In time to reconfirm transfer to local airport to board flight to Calafate. Arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. Accommodation (breakfast and local vat included)
9º day: CALAFATE. Early morning breakfast and pick up in the hotel for a full day experience exploring glacier streams, small lagoons, gullies, crevasses and plenty of ice formations on this one of a kind South American experience. Also will be able to enjoy a 1-hour boat ride learning about the different flora, fauna and general glaciology of the region as well as a particular phenomenon that happens in the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Perito Moreno Glacier is an impressive natural wonder and due to its extension and height, it has become world famous for its easy access, continuous advance and the loud loosening of huge icebergs. The Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (Glaciers National Park) area is home to other important glaciers such as Upsalla, Onelli and Spegazzini.
Once inside Los Glaciares National Park, you’ll follow the route around Lago Argentino where 50 miles (80km) from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier lies imposing with its 200 foot (60 meter) high ice walls. Follow the paths that lead you to face the glacier and get different impressive views, all while continuous detachments and constant ice breaking noises echoes in your surrounds!Then, sail between floating ice and marvel at ice walls and unforgettable sights. Time at leisure and return to the hotel in Calafate.
10º day: CALAFATE. Free day for optional experiences: “Todo Glaciares” or “Estancia Cristina”. Accommodation at hotel.Mail to us
11ºday: CALAFATE-BUENOS AIRES. In time to reconfirm transfer to local airport, to board flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival and accommodation at hotel.
12ºday: BUENOS AIRES/EUROPA In time to reconfirm transfer to international airport to board flight coming back home. Night on board.
13ºday. EUROPA. Arrival to Europe. End of our services.
